Ingredients
¼cuptahini
¼cuplemon juice
1-2clovesgarlic
2tablespoonscanola oil
½teaspoonsalt
½teaspooncumin
15ozChickpeas
sprinklesmoked paprika(for garnish)
zest of half lemon(for garnish)
Instructions
Making Chickpea Hummus
In a food processor, combine tahini and lemon juice together until smooth. It should take about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Scrape the sides and bottom as needed to ensure everything is mixed thoroughly.
Add the canola, garlic, salt, and cumin. Process for about a minute until combined with the lemon/tahini cream. Scrape as needed.
Add chickpeas and 2 tablespoons of water. Process until smooth, scraping the sides as needed.
